Job: Sales Development and Planning Manager

Job purpose (responsibility)

The Sales Development and Planning Manager is responsible for:

  • Working with Key Account Managers to finalize dedicated Account Seasonal Demand Plans across top central and country Key Accounts to optimize stock reservation/buy and effectively maximize in-season opportunities
  • Weekly inventory & sell through analysis across top central and country Key Accounts to identify and chase additional opportunity to increase fill rate on in-season demand
  • Analyze sell-through and current overall stock coverage for the Channel, highlighting shortages and additional needs and working with Demand/Supply Planning on chasing additional buy / opportunities
  • Inventory (ATP) and Locker stock (contracts) management, fully owning the re-balancing process of inventory between Account locker stock and general channel stock to optimize in-season opportunities
  • Re-balancing process between channels
  • Working with Country Sales team to capture inventory needs and sales opportunities.
  • Analyzing and prioritizing KA / Country needs and work with Demand / Supply Planning to integrate and prioritize Sales feedback in the Overall Channel Demand Plan and pro-actively recommends actions to optimize buying plan.
Tasks & Roles
  • Seasonal Planning & Forecasting
  • Drives the development, maintenance and evaluation of Sales Forecasting in the wholesale channel. Liaises with Finance and Supply Chain to ensure sales forecasts are in-line with revenue & margin plans and with purchasing & inventory levels.
  • Oversees and supports financial forecasting activities of distributors and sales teams.
  • Delivers data to support wholesale incentives including the commission plans and monitors the results.
Educational/Expertise/Experience requirements


  • Knowledge of Business Administration, Commerce or Statistics, at least Bachelor level.


  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in business analytics, consumer research or consultancy in an international environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access.
  • Has a successful track record with developing strategic business plans and budgeting.
  • Languages: Fluent in English. Both written and spoken.
