We are looking for a Commercial Manager, Indirect Markets!

About this position

The position is responsible for driving the development of the Crocs brand through distributors and agents in Europe. The objective is to grow the business in distributor and agent markets in accordance with the philosophy of the company and the commercial targets, all to obtain maximum profitability. The position is also responsible for driving the growth of PFD within Crocs’ direct and indirect markets.

Essential duties

We keep you busy! This could be strategic-planning and forecasting, (new) business development, sale optimalization and in-season management, financial management, customer relation management, market knowledge and brand positioning.

Your responsibilities

This position has a lot of different tasks and responsibilities, but that is what makes this position so challenging! The most important responsibilities:

  • Develop and (internally) communicate annually a clear 3 year sales strategy for our indirect markets. You create and execute sales plans, annual budgets and forecasts;
  • Select the best business partners for the company to work with and ensure effective contracts are in place. You act as a business consultant to distributor and agent partners supporting them to plan and develop the business;
  • Achieve product margin and revenue goals by ensuring that all business partners are profitably served;
  • Supporting effective financial management of agents and distributors, this includes coordinators requests for credit limits and payment plans and support the finance team with collection;
  • Ensure first class customer service to our distributors and accounts in agents’ territories;
  • Understand the different distributors and agent market conditions and business environments;
  • Collaborate with different departments about product strategies, marketing related issues and making sure that key seasonal marketing campaigns are planned and executed according to Crocs standards.

And do you have the following experiences?

  • BS/BA, Drs. or MBA in Business or related field
  • Proven successful track record in wholesale at an international lifestyle footwear and/or apparel brand
  • Sales management experience (at least 5 years)
  • Excellent regional wholesale/distributor management experience (at least 3 years)
  • Proven leadership qualities and experience with building long term profitable relationships.
  • Quality experience in working with business elements marketing, product, logistics and finance.
  • Used to working in an A-brand environment.
  • Used to working in a multi-cultural environment.
