The Director of eCommerce will oversee the day to day operations of, and have full P&L responsibility for, our multi-million dollar European Crocs.com business. This includes 6 sites across 4 languages. Reporting to the European VP of Digital Commerce, and working closely with the EMEA management team, this role will help drive the future growth of our eCommerce business. Key areas of responsibility include: buying and planning, onsite merchandising, digital marketing, analytics and go to market. You should possess deep eCommerce experience and a strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics. You can identify and leverage emerging trends and best practices in the marketplace to drive innovation and growth. Additionally, you should possess an entrepreneurial drive coupled with strong leadership experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for significant growth in Revenue, Gross Margin and EBIT for the channel
  • Create Strategies that enable financial objectives to be met while ensuring alignment with overall company, eCommerce and brand direction
  • Help create and prioritize the European Crocs.com roadmap through collaboration with the Global eCommerce team as well as key cross functional partners
  • Drive overall site merchandising strategy with a commercial point of view
  • Lead and develop a team consisting of functions in buying and planning, on-site merchandising, digital marketing and analytics. As well as 3rd party agencies.
  • Oversee design and execution of all Go To Market activities including: product stories, promotional calendar and cadence, digital marketing activities, pricing and promotions, OTB management all aligned with the company goals & objectives
  • Responsible for development and execution of integrated digital commerce strategies, tactics, and plans in line with Global strategy: paid search, seo, email, affiliate, display etc.
  • Focus on activities to directly (and positively) impact conversion and AOV across both mobile & desktop experiences.
  • Drive competitive analysis and customer insights
  • Responsible for driving and communicating Channel performance hind-sighting and optimization
  • Acts a key leader of the greater European team

QUALIFICATIONS:

To be successful in this role you must be someone who thrives in a results driven environment, provides leadership by creating structure, processes and empowering the teams to drive growth. The right candidate will be able to build a strong team, build credible cross-functional relationships and drive to grow the business.

  • Bachelor degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of eCommerce Experience
  • 5+ years of people management & development experience
  • Extended experience in merchandising, eCommerce, digital marketing and business analysis within a digital environment.
  • Strong marketing acumen balanced with financial and analytical skills, as well as the ability to think creatively
  • Innovative, flexible, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Needs to have high collaboration with other internal constituents including Global Merchandising, Global eCommerce and European Wholesale and Planning teams
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of content management software and processes for sophisticated merchandising placements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, driving cross functional teams and building high performing teamsStrategic planning balanced by flawless execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to simplify complex messages and influence ideas and initiatives throughout all levels of the organization
