The Wholesale Merchant supports the Regional Merchandising Director to drive the regional merchandising vision for Crocs, the industry-leading casual footwear brand specializing in comfortable, fun, innovative and irreverent product lines designed to surprise and delight our millions of loyal Crocs fans and future Crocs fans.

The Crocs Wholesale Merchandising team implements the global product strategy in the region/country to maximize product sell-in and sell-through. Wholesale Merchandising is a combined merchant and planning organization that builds and implements account business plans with significant input from the sales team and global merchandising. The Wholesale Merchant partners with the region to help execute the regional go-to-market strategy, which includes the regional merchandising vision, strategy and assortment plan for the product line, and drives it to achieve brand and revenue goals, sales growth, and profit maximization through a consumer-centric focus at the regional level with alignment to the global brand.


Product Vision + Revenue Plan:

  • Merchandise the product line to hit seasonal target margin and revenue plan as determined by Senior Leadership, Finance and Global Merchandising
  • Communicate lifecycle strategies as determined by global merchandising
  • Merchandise and create directed assortments for target consumers and their channels in alignment with our brand vision
  • Focus on consumer, brand vision and business needs to implement key seasonal brand and product stories
  • Drive brand vision with regional product assortment
  • Collaborate with the sales teams on promotional cadence and support for product margin targets on product mix and distribution


  • Work with product and sales to merchandise a regionally aligned product line by consumer and channel
  • Execute the lifecycle strategy in the product line against target consumer and distribution channel
  • Segment and execute regional product line by wholesale sub-channel according to global guidelines and to maximize revenue
  • Merchandise product stories by channel to align with regional and global marketing

Go-To-Market (GTM) Vision:

  • Support the design of Global Merchandise strategy to drive revenue and brand goals
  • Align NPI and franchise performance to ensure performance by wholesale sub-channel
  • Communicate key product/collections stories, present product and support directed assortment sell-in for specific customers
  • Integrate inline merchandize in conjunction with strategic plans to create directed assortments
  • Strategize SMU requests for appropriate accounts

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Degree from college or university
  • 3-5 years of years of progressive experience in planning and or merchandising; footwear experience preferred
  • Proven increased revenue accountability
  • Strong understanding of market competition
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrates ability to independently utilize resources to increase knowledge
  • Proven ability to successfully work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment
  • Knowledge of fashion/trends with the ability to translate into commercial concepts
  • A thorough understanding of consumer markets and trends
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel. Power Point, Word)
  • Fluent in English preferred
