The Sr. Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the Demand Planning Department, accountable for the flow of timely, accurate and actionable business information to sales channels including owned wholesale, distributors and Direct to Consumer (Internet and Retail) businesses throughout the EMEA and Russia/CIS, Merchandising, global supply planning, Finance, and regional management teams. Responsible for execution of and continued development of Integrated Business Planning and forecasting processes throughout Europe, and developing analytical tools and to ensure profitable revenue growth and cost efficient management of the supply chain.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Demand Planning Process

  • Accountable for development, maintenance and evaluation of the demand planning processes and methodologies for EMEA region to ensure global requirements are met.
  • Accountable to drive on time and efficient delivery of accurate sales and operating forecast to the required stakeholders as part of the monthly Integrated Business Planning Process.
  • Liaise with Countries, channels, merchandising and supply planning teams to analyze impact of plans to overall business strategy for EMEA region.
  • Benchmarking and best practice implementation of tools and process related to forecasting.
  • Integrated Business Planning Process
  • Organize and facilitate monthly regional IBP demand meetings and regional review meetings.
  • Prepare for the executive summary of demand meeting and regional review meetings

Inventory analysis and Open to buy Target

  • Monitor and report on inventory in order to: provide insight that the Channel leads stay within their open to buy targets to established sales targets, as well as drive sale or liquidation of end of life/ excess products cross functionally to minimize slow-moving excess inventory, and maximize inventory turns.
  • Identify root causes of excess inventory and shortage, initiate and drive corrective action plans.
Cross Channel
  • Proactively work with the countries / channels to understand their key business requirement and disseminate them with the demand planning members to collectively support them with a strong interface with sales channels, Merchandising, Finance and global supply planning.
  • Provide input in short to medium term planning objectives to continuously improve functions ability to meet business changing needs and goals
  • Be a resource to merchandising teams, promoting a best in class approach and roll out training on new processes or systems.

Team development

  • Recruit, manage, coach, and motivate direct reports to achieve high level of engagement and performance

Profile

  • Master degree preferred, required Bachelor Degree in business, engineering or supply chain related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in demand planning
  • Understanding of inventory management, S&OP, and integrated business planning process
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong organizational skills and a track record of developing / managing processes in a fast growing business.
  • Proven ability to articulate business strategies and formulate concise solutions to complex problems
  • Evidence in leadership, people management skills and working effectively across all regional functions
  • Solid international experience- comfort level with different cultures, languages, etc.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP tools and software
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Preference for Footwear or fashion/apparel industry experience
  • Fluent English Speaking and writing skills
